What this is
A handover clean is not a bond clean. A bond clean removes a year of living; a handover clean removes a build. Construction dust is fine and it is everywhere, including places normal cleaning never touches: the tops of door frames, inside vents and exhaust fans, cornices, the inside of every cabinet and drawer.
Then there is the residue. Stickers and barcode labels on windows, glass and appliances. Paint specks on tiles, taps and glass. Silicone and adhesive smears along sealed edges. Plaster dust ground into tile grout. Each of these needs a different method, and the wrong one scratches a brand new surface, which is why we do not rush it.
Dust keeps falling for days after a build, so a handover clean works best once the builder's rubbish is out and no trades are coming back. If trades are still finishing, book us after them, or expect to need a second visit. Tell us the floor type when you book, because new timber, new stone and new tile each take a different approach.
